Refund and Cancellation Terms
This section establishes the rules for the withdrawal of deposits, the refund ratio according to the timing of cancellation, the deadline for refunds, and the procedures for refunds.
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
These terms apply to deposits paid through KMediBook (Korea Medical Payment). Refunds for remaining balances paid directly to the medical institution after the visit are subject to the policies of the respective medical institution.
Article 2 (Right of Withdrawal from an Offer)
The user may withdraw the application within 7 days from the deposit payment date under Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률)
However, if the scheduled visit date is within 7 days from the payment date, the refund criteria based on the cancellation timing under Article 3 shall take precedence. This is because the service provided is a medical consultation available only at a specific time.
Article 3 (Refund According to Cancellation Timing)
- Cancellation 7 days prior to the scheduled visit date: Full deposit refund
- Cancellation 3 days prior to the scheduled visit: Refund of 50% of the deposit
- Cancellation or non-attendance (no-show) within 3 days of the scheduled visit: No refund.
The reference time is Korea Standard Time (KST), and it is based on the time when the cancellation request is received by the company.
Article 4 (Reasons for Full Refund)
- In the case of a reservation being canceled due to circumstances at the medical institution
- If the medical institution determines that the procedure is not suitable based on the treatment results
- In the case of duplicate payments
- Payment made without a valid reservation
- In the case of a reservation not being established due to a company system error
- In cases where a visit is impossible due to reasons beyond the user's control, such as illness, accidents, flight cancellations, and evidence is provided to substantiate this.
Article 5 (Refund Procedure and Deadline)
Refunds can be requested through your account's reservation history or via the customer service center ({{고객센터 이메일}}).
The company will request a refund from the payment agent within 3 business days from the date it confirms the reason for the refund.
Refunds are made through the same means used for payment. In the case of card payments, it may take an additional 5 to 10 business days for the refund to be reflected on the user's statement, depending on the card company's processing schedule.
The refund amount is based on the payment currency. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, the actual amount received by the user may differ from the amount at the time of payment, and this is subject to the conversion policies of the card issuer and the bank.
Article 6 (Modification of Reservations)
You may apply for a change of schedule once up to three days before the scheduled visit date, subject to the availability of the medical institution.
If a schedule change is confirmed, the existing deposit will be transferred to the new schedule and there will be no additional payment required.
Article 7 (Dispute)
In the event of a dispute regarding refunds, the company and the user shall earnestly negotiate. If no agreement is reached, either party may apply for mediation by the Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee.
